The International Fire Behaviour and Fuels conference occurs every few years, and often simultaneously on different continents, as a gathering for the best science that can be applied to varied wildfire environments around the world. In 2026, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, will be the sole host to the world’s leading wildland fire authorities, scientists and practitioners.  This conference will showcase how different countries are implementing newly developed fire management policies and frameworks at national, regional and local levels to address fire risks and to build resilience.
